At the start of 2020, we had 1 million small businesses in Canada. We've lost at least 180 000 of them during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. These independent businesses are the backbone of a free and independent society, and without them our liberties are in serious jeopardy.
As many of our leaders, lawyers and law enforcement do not seem to notice or care that our freedoms, our livelihoods, our very way of life is at stake, the time has come to stop waiting for their help. The time has come to stand together.
We at Open Up Canada believe that to win this battle against tyranny, our only option is to stand together - to build a strong and resilient interdependent community of like-minded, freedom loving businesses that want the right to operate as they choose, serve who they chose, and respect the rights of their patrons and their employees.
